David has spent 20+ years as an avid consumer brand & lifestyle marketer. His career includes holding senior branding & marketing positions at American Express, MasterCard, PepsiCo, and Microsoft.
Over the last five years, David has solely focused on the cannabis space where has consulted to many top brands and media companies on branding and marketing strategy including Dockside Cannabis, Dope Media, High Times, PROHBTD, Cannabis Ventures, LeafLink, Cannabis Industry Journal, among others. David is the author of “Branding Bud: The Commercialization of Cannabis” a book critically reviewing the cannabis industry and the brands within it.
Today, David acts as CMO at GreenHub, a Denver-based cannabis-focused business consulting agency supporting many of the country’s leading cannabis manufacturers, retailers, and media brands as well as those considering entering the sector. He also heads up heads up New Leaf Licensing, a Seattle-based brand licensing firm supporting brands in their product expansion efforts and geographic footprint.
